Day 29-31 of My October Journey

Yvette Register Finish Line Breast Cancer Walk

It has been a great month. I completed my breast cancer awareness campaign by fundraising, walking, writing articles and speaking at luncheons, churches and breast cancer organizations.

For those of you who don’t know I am preparing for my last surgery on November 14th. I had to wait 1 year after my last radiation treatment to have this surgery. I will keep you updated on my progress. Please keep me in your prayers.

Have a phenomenal week!!!!

Remember God is always in control!

October Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Day 26 – My Journey

Yvette Register interview at Breast Cancer Walk

Yesterday someone asked me why don’t I dye my hair. Before cancer – I never let a gray hair show. After cancer – I’m thankful for all the gray hair that is showing! To God I give all the glory for my crown of glory. Proverbs 16:31 A gray head is a crown of glory: It is found in the way of righteousness. (NASB)

Have a blessed day everyone!!

Strut For a Cure Logo

Join The Ladies of STRUT today, as they hold multi-state gatherings for Breast Cancer awareness brunch. Yes I did say multi-state as Florida, California, Georgia, Nevada, Louisiana, and New York will all host STRUT For A Cure events on this day.

The STRUT For A Cure Orlando Edition will feature a survivor’s story by me, Yvette Register.  There will be door prizes, signature pieces of jewelry by two local designers, educational information on breast cancer and a STRUT For Survivors.  To show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness, please wear PINK, BLACK or WHITE. If you know a survivor of breast cancer, please invite them. Make sure to add them to the list.

Brio Tuscan Grille’s brunch will be offered to all attendees at your their expense.  This event is sponsored in part by Libby’s Legacy, a local organization that provides support and assistance for Mammogram screenings to the uninsured and under-insured women of Central Florida.

All that is missing from this event is you!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Day 5 – Walk For A Cure

breast cancer hope courage love

A few things I’d like to share this morning:

1. Thanks to my friends who are coming from out of town to walk with me on Oct 20th. Thanks to all of my local friends who have signed up to walk on our team. If you haven’t signed up there is still time. Thanks to Lori Smith and Michelle Avette who are walking in my honor in their local cancer walk events. And thanks to all of my friends who have donated to the cause. Our team is number 13 out of 632 teams in fundraising! Let’s shoot for NUMBER ONE!  Click here to support our team.

2. My son is coming home for the weekend! I can’t wait to pick him up from the airport. That will probably be the longest I will see him in the next 2 days! I’m gonna drive real slow and try not to ask him too many questions. Hope I don’t blow it! LOL!

3. Thank you to Lori Smith for the picture in this post. Lori and I grew up together and she is using a collage like this one on her Making Strides for Breast Cancer fundraising page.

4. This day last year I was making my daily trek to the hospital for 1st of my 48 rounds of radiation. Very grateful for how far I’ve come!

Today join me in giving God all the Glory for all of our blessings!

Have a phenomenal day everyone!
